The Old Rectory is in the centre of the village of Carlby at the end of The Avenue leading to the church of St Stephen. The Avenue is the second turning on the left after entering the village from the A6121 Stamford to Bourne road.

Carlby is approximately 5 miles north of Stamford, 6 miles south of Bourne and half an hour’s drive from Peterborough and Grantham which both have main East Coast railway stations on the London to Edinburgh railway line. The journey between London King’s Cross and Peterborough takes just over 50 minutes by fast train. Stansted Airport can be reached by train from Stamford.
